Crafted oil lamps for LUCES 2 show | 1996 | Simay Space Gallery, San Diego, CA
For the second edition of Simay Space Gallery’s show around the theme of LIGHTS (LUCES II), I designed 3 single-wick oil lamps in the form of ‘animated characters’. The resulting lamps were constructed with steel pates, rods, casting resin, glass bottles and wicks. Each lamp provides a tenuous warm light.
